Our legendary Free Fitting offer means you pay nothing for installation on any carpet when you purchase the equivalent size in our Treadmore or Airstep underlay. If you decide not to purchase underlay with your carpet, or for products that do not qualify, a competitive standard carpet fitting fee applies. Please note that a standard stair surcharge is applied for fitting on stairs, which applies even if your order qualifies for the free fitting promotion. Your local store team will inform you of any surcharges before booking.

You can easily book a home visit online via our website or by contacting your nearest local showroom. A local flooring specialist will visit your property, take highly accurate measurements to minimize waste, assess any subfloor or underlay requirements, and provide you with a transparent, comprehensive price estimate.

Yes. While our showroom staff are flooring and bed specialists, we can introduce you to vetted, independent professional fitters who offer additional preparation services upon your request. This can include uplifiting and disposing of your old carpets, moving heavy furniture, and completing subfloor preparation (such as screeding or laying plywood) to guaruntee a perfectly smooth installation. We recommend discussing these specific preparation needs with your local showroom team during your free home estimate visit.

Our team is dedicated to providing helpful, professional guidance to ensure you choose the correct products for your requirements - including matching the right carpet with our premium Treadmore or Airstep underlays, or selecting the ideal pocket-sprung mattress for your sleeping style.

If you would like to see more than 4 samples you can book a free home measure where the team will be able to measure your project and bring any additional samples you may need (however you won't be able to keep these samples)
The length of time from placing your order to delivery to the store is based on several factors such as the type of flooring, or whether the colour/pattern/style chosen is in stock or if it is a special order. If speed rather than a specific colour or style is more important to you, many United Carpets stores have roll ends and roll stock that you can take away on the day.
The other hurdle which could potentially hold up your order is fitting. This is booked in advance based on the fitter’s schedule, but during busy times, it can sometimes be a few weeks before your floor can be installed.
