Underlay is essential when buying a new carpet. Often overlooked in favour of the old underlay before it, which is prone to crumble or collapse – especially in high traffic areas, new underlay has a multitude of essential benefits. Airstep Emerald, with its thick nominal square weight of 3729g/m3 and solid weight of 40.87kg will actually prolong the life of your new carpet – ensuring it appears thicker and feels softer for longer – even after constant footfall. It also provides additional comfort underfoot thanks to its spongey nature – adding luxury to each step. With its blue and printed Textron backing, Airstep Emerald also adds an additional layer of insulation to keep your house warmer and less noisy – and ensure it is entirely even, unlike old underlay, which can cause your new carpet to ridge if not replaced.

Your flooring will be cut to fit your order specifications, so will be not be covered by the Consumer Contracts 14 day cooling off period. We strongly advise using our Free Measure & Estimate service to ensure that your room measurements are as accurate as possible. If you have ordered your flooring recently and your collection/delivery/fitting date has not yet been arranged, we may be able to pause your order processing until after you have been measured by one of our expert team members. This does not affect your statutory rights.
